Meet the Animals

Goats, Sheep, Horses, Alpacas & more

Children have a wonderful time on our farm. Filled with excitement they are free to run around and burn off their energy, which makes for a good night's sleep! Collecting the eggs for breakfast is always fun — there is nothing quite like a freshly laid egg!

Because you are our only guests, you are welcome to hand feed the goats, sheep, cow, chickens, and guinea pigs with your own food at your leisure anytime during the day. They love cut-up apples, carrots, or bread — and children love to feed them!

Goats

Our friendly pet goats love attention and are always happy to be hand-fed with fruit and vegetables.

Sheep & Lambs

Gentle and curious, the sheep are a favourite with children. Baby lambs appear seasonally.

Horses & Ponies

All our horses are competition show horses from our own Leeara Park Riding Ponies stud. Give them a carrot or two!

Alpacas

These gentle, fluffy creatures are a firm favourite with visitors young and old alike.

Xena the Dexter Cow

Our beloved pet Dexter Cow, Xena, is always up for a visit and loves a good scratch behind the ears.

Chickens & Guinea Pigs

Collect fresh eggs each morning and visit our guinea pigs. The children absolutely love it!

Evening Routine

Join us at the stables each evening

You will usually find us each evening around 4:30pm at the Stable area near the cottage. Horses are walked from their paddocks where they have been happily grazing during the day and stabled for the night.

All our horses are competition Show Horses and we also breed ponies under our own stud, Leeara Park Riding Ponies. You are very welcome to join us at the stables — we'd be happy to explain our sport to you.

At this time we also feed the other animals — it's a wonderful family moment every evening.
