A home full of history & charm

Settlers Rest Farm Cottage is the only cottage on the property for guests. Built around the turn of the 20th century and rich in local history, it is the original farm cottage — one of the few of its kind left in the Swan Valley.

The cottage has been fully restored and is a true example of Australian architecture of that era. Modern facilities have been added so guests can enjoy a taste of yesteryear with all the comforts of today.

With three bedrooms, the cottage accommodates up to 8 guests, but is equally perfect for a couple or a family. When you stay at Settlers Rest, you occupy the entire cottage exclusively.

What's included

Everything you need, nothing you don't

All linen, towels and even gum boots are provided. All you need to bring is your food, a camera, and a bag of carrots to feed the animals.

Bedrooms — three (queen, double + single, two singles), linen, duvets, extra blankets, electric blankets for winter warmth

Kitchen — full country-style kitchen, oven, hotplates, microwave, large two-door fridge, all pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, starter tea/coffee/sugar/pepper/salt/oil. Coles and Woolworths nearby

Dining Room — table for six with valley views, radio/CD player (bring your own CDs), coffee machine (bring your own pods)

Lounge — colour flatscreen TV, books and toys for the children, open fireplace for cooler nights

Bathroom — deep bath with shower, hair dryer, wall heater for cooler mornings

Laundry — auto washing machine and dryer, steam iron and ironing board (washing detergent required)

Heating & Cooling — ducted evaporative air-conditioning for summer, convection wall heaters for winter, plus an open fireplace in the lounge

Outside — gas BBQ for outdoor cooking, wide verandah with views across the farm
