Historic character, modern comfort, and total privacy
Settlers Rest Farm Cottage is the only cottage on the property for guests. Built around the turn of the 20th century and rich in local history, it is the original farm cottage, one of the few of its kind left in the Swan Valley.
The cottage has been fully restored and is a true example of Australian architecture of that era. Modern facilities have been added so guests can enjoy a taste of yesteryear with all the comforts of today. Set on a 14-acre farm, the cottage stands alone with sweeping views of the Darling Ranges, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and star-filled skies. Farm animals often graze right up to the back fence, and bird enthusiasts will appreciate the constant chorus of birds throughout the day.
The kitchen is a full country-style one with a separate dining room, giving you plenty of space to cook and take in the view. Coles, Woolworths and Aldi are all nearby for any grocery runs.
With three bedrooms (queen, double + single, and two singles), the cottage accommodates up to eight guests, but is equally perfect for a couple or a family. When you stay at Settlers Rest, you occupy the entire cottage exclusively.
All linen, towels and even gum boots are provided. All you need to bring is your food, a camera, and a bag of carrots to feed the animals.
